Examination/Midterm

The Mid Term exam takes place via a ‘TEAMS’ meeting. Candidates will log on at their pre-booked time and be given two short case studies, which are based around auditory pathologies and hearing assessment techniques. There is one Examiner who will ask questions on both case studies. The exam will take between 20 – 30 minutes and the Candidate will be informed of their result within two days of their assessment.

A person who is unsuccessful in this particular examination on the first attempt, can re-apply to sit this examination again in 30 days from today (examination cannot be taken sooner than 30 days from today), date and time needs to be provided to ACAud with a minimum of 5 working days’ notice for scheduling purposes, as you have done previously.

A person who is unsuccessful in this particular examination on a second attempt, is required to provide a log book of all studies for the next 6 weeks.  Provide a detailed reflection summary on the focus areas required to pass this examination.   Submit all documentation at the completion of the 6 weeks for review by the ACAud Membership Committee.  ACAud Membership Committee will review the submissions and determine eligible to sit this examination for a 3rd attempt.

A person who is unsuccessful in this particular examination on a third attempt, their Associate membership will be downgraded to Affiliate membership.  Please note, as an Affiliate member you are no longer able to carry out any clinical duties or internship program with ACAud.
